I purchased a Flip Video Mino for myself as an early Christmas present because I found a good deal on one. I used it a few days ago to make a video and loved how easy it was to use. Take a look  I set it on a tripod and started recording myself doing a car repair. 

I loved how small it is.   The picture quality was perfect. I don’t have to worry about loading tapes and finding the cords to upload to the computer. It will record 60 minutes digitally. It recharges on my computer so no need for batteries.  The Mino retails for $179.00 but I got mine for around 159.00.  Ebay has some great deals on the Mino.

I have been clearing out my unused crafting supplies and selling them online.  That’s how I got started on eBay several years ago.  You may not have things around your house to sell but did you know you can find lots of treasures at resale shops that will bring in good money if you know what to look for?

My friend Suzanne Wells is an author and has sold over 15,000 items on eBay.  She just sent me a copy of an ebook she wrote, “What to Buy at Thrift Stores to Sell on eBay for Profit”. It’s filled with great information.  She said I could tell you about it too.  She will send you a copy for FREE, no strings attached.  At the end of the ebook she has a link to her forum, I’m a member there and it’s FREE too.  I have gotten such great information from Suzanne and the other members.

I’ve been hearing a lot about Amazon.com lately. Maybe it’s because I’ve been paying more attention since eBay has been making so many changes and my sales there are down.

Last night I happened to watch Mad Money and Cramer opened with a little history of Amazon.com and said it was a good time to BUY BUY BUY the stock.  He mentioned the changes at eBay and that Amazon’s Christmas sales last year were higher than eBay’s.

He also brought up the Kindle, Amazon’s electronic reading device. Downloads for Kindle format books are rising steadily. It’s a great new device that can download your book purchase anywhere using cell phone technology. Talk about instant gratification. Cramer thinks it will have sales like the ipod and iphone.

I’m in the learning and set up stages of selling books on Amazon.  It’s one of my Fall goals once the kids are back in school. I recently read Selling On The River  By Steve Lindhorst and learned a lot there about how to start selling on Amazon.

With today’s economy and the ever changing rules on eBay, starting new streams of income is a good move. It looks like Amazon is a great place to sell and not just for books and movies, you can find just about everything there, new and used.  That’s why I say Sell, Sell, Sell your stuff on Amazon.

Look Out eBay I think Amazon’s current is stronger.

Remember a few posts ago I told you about a video I did for BigCrumbs?  It’s a FREE program where you can earn money back for shopping online. A few more hints for getting coupons on eBay…

• You can’t SELL coupons so what you are “paying” for is the time that goes into finding, cutting, listing and shipping the coupons.

• Begin from your BigCrumbs site to get your earnings.

• I always purchase with a Buy It Now not an auction bid so I can get them right away.

• Find out what they charge for postage. Some really jack up the price of a stamp.

• Some will offer shipping discounts if you order other items so check out what else they have listed and save even more.

• Find out what the expiration date is.  Some will sell coupons very close to their expiration date. Make sure you will have enough time to really use them.

• Look for FREE item coupons for even more savings or buy one get one FREE are good too.

I’ve been gone for a few weeks. I went on vacation and so did my laptop. It was in the shop for a few weeks getting the screen fixed. I just got it back today and it’s good to be up and running again. I just got to view my 600 photos I took on vacation mostly of sunsets. Above is the first shot I took. We made it to the harbor just in time to see the sunset over the water.

On one of the eBay groups I belong to one of the gals, Laurie got interviewed by eBay about her eBay business and store. Laurie said it would be fine to share the interview video on my blog so here it is. Laurie is doing a great job handling the duties of marriage, motherhood and business owner. Hey, I made it.  I have my own Blog! This is my homework assignment #1 from a class I’m taking online from Rosalind Gardner and Anik Singal.  This is one small step on my internet income journey that I plan to blog about right here.  My first posts will be “flashbacks” of things I have done in the past to earn an income both online and off.

Being a right brain thinker I have trouble sticking to one project for too long and have done so many different “jobs” over the years. Most were done as ways to support my interests while adding to our households income. Some worked better than others. Some were income producing and others were income savings.

I’m a married mother of three, born and raised in the Midwest. I love reading, learning and trying new things.  Once an avid crafter I have now turned my creative energies into “crafting ” an income on the internet.

**INCOME** eBay became a good outlet to sell off many of my craft and sewing supplies and materials. I started with auctions in May of 07 and opened my store last November, NataliesPlaceOneTheBay.
