It pays to be organized.  I had a shopping list of each deal and all my coupons in hand.  I have them ring all the items in one deal then give them any Walgreens coupons.  Hintno need to cut them out just show them to the cashier and they will scan them.  Then I give them my manufacturer coupons.  They give me a total and then I give them any catalina coupons I have, wait for the new total and pay with my Walgreens rebate gift card or my charge card. Buy when it’s on sale and use a coupon on top.  Take advantage of the BOGO FREE, store coupons, and register rebates that give the catalina coupons for your next shopping trip.  Hintyou can’t use the catalina coupon to roll over on the same product again. Many times they will not let you use more than one catalina coupon per purchase so break up your next order like I just showed you.  Read all the fine print before you go to the store because the register knows how it will work.

  1. I’m appalled at your video especially when you say to shop early to get the deals. Those deals such as the $5.50 register rewards is one per customer/per household. You said you did the transaction three times, so you got six toothbrushes. I’m all for saving money but do you know how many disappointed customers I deal with on a daily basis when we are out of such items because people like you take advantage and buy up more than your share? Just be fair and only take your share, leave some for the other customers! How would you feel if you went to buy something and a customer ahead of you was having the cashier do three seperate transactions while they were buying up all the items you would’ve like to buy. And for items like that we can’t issue rainchecks and the stores are only sent a limited amount.
We teach our cashiers to ring up each coupon after each product therefore people only get what they actually paid back in rebates.

  2. Thank you for the comment. I’m sure you must deal with a lot of people each day and unhappy customers are not good.

I was only doing what my stores employees told me I could do. The tooth brushes on that deal were purchased on the last day and I didn’t empty out the stock. If I purchase 6 papers to get 6 buy one get one free coupons I’m entitled to use them. I follow the rules on the coupons and what the employees including the manager say I can do. If I go to buy an item and there are none left I figure oh well maybe next time. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.

Walgreens has a system in place to figure out what rebates to give according to what was paid I have no control over that.

My store employees tell me they even get an employee discount and can also use their coupons for even better deals.

You being a Walgreens employee is a SUPER idea to saving even more on their great deals. Way to go!
